High atop the Trump International Hotel and Tower, one of Toronto's most impressive spaces sits awaiting a purchaser. Spanning the upper three levels of the 58-storey tower, the "Super Penthouse" offers over 11,000 square feet of space - much larger than the average single family home - plus a wealth of city views in all directions. This lofty lair in the sky, previously reported by the Toronto Star to be the most expensive condominium unit in Canada, is on the market for around $33 million, and will be awaiting its finishing touches until a buyer steps forward. With this impressive space is still up for grabs, we were given the opportunity to tour the space to get a hint of the lifestyle awaiting the future residents.

Ground level is where hotel guests and residents alike enter through the Adelaide Street lobby doors, with residents taking an elevator up to the 32nd floor sky lobby, while hotel guests have their own set.
Just above the tower's mid-way point in height, the beautifully appointed sky lobby boasts high-end finishes, and features like a $130,000 Steinway piano that can be played… or programmed to automatically play tunes loaded in from an iPad. Outside the south windows, a balcony overlooks Toronto's Financial Core, while a pool, spa, and fitness centre can all be found on this floor and the floor below it. America restaurant is also just one floor below the sky lobby.

From the sky lobby, residents will be shuttled to their floor via high-speed elevators, the fastest in a Canadian residential project. From the sky lobby up the Super Penthouse, the ride takes approximately 35 seconds.
Still in a raw state, the Super Penthouse is ready to be customized according to the preferences of the purchaser, but it doesn't take long to see past the bare concrete and drywall aesthetic and imagine the wealth of possibilities this space holds. The image below shows a long, dividable, high-ceilinged space on the north side of the suite's first floor. Each window could provide the view from a generously proportioned bedroom, den, or other tailored space, or larger rooms could have multiple windows.

A rough-in for a private elevator has been provided, allowing the purchaser the option of easy movement up and down through the suite's three levels.

The Super Penthouse features a wrap-around terrace offering a mix of intimate urban views of surrounding office towers, as well as views as far as Mississauga to the west and Scarborough City Centre to the east.

The most impressive feature of the Super Penthouse is contained within the tower's distinctive quarter onion dome. From the inside, the structural steel elements of the dome are evident, while the twin arch sets of windows evoke the image of the Art Deco crown atop William Van Alen's Chrysler Building in New York.

The endless possibilities for a space of this grandeur has a tendency to jumpstart the imagination. It isn't too difficult to picture the city's most dramatic games room with a basketball hoop or a rock climbing wall for the adventurous business tycoon, or alternatively a master bedroom with some of the best views available for a buyer more taken with sheer luxury. The north-facing view captured from this space, visible below, would be quite the sight to wake up to in the morning for those choosing to use this space as a bedroom.

Spaces like the Super Penthouse are only one facet in the luxury lifestyle associated with the Trump brand. Luxury real estate goes hand in hand with luxury cars, and to celebrate the posh lifestyle, Trump Residences Toronto has teamed up with auto manufacturer Rolls Royce, as well as European premium real estate firm Engel & Völkers to mark the latter's entry into the Toronto market. A recent event bringing the three together was hosted by Trump developer Talon International Development in the hotel's porte-cochère to announce that purchasers of a penthouse suite in the building will also receive a Rolls Royce.
